Grid Design Guide

While I’m not a huge fan of grid designs in cities and prefer just to see where the city takes me, there are plenty of players that enjoy the more formal grid based layout of a city. Blackether  has put together a lengthy guide to putting together a city based on a grid layout explaining zoning and road connections that work well on a grid system.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. My biggest issue is trying to make straight roads.

Mind you he’s using the Diamond Coast map, for anyone who wants to know. Personal favorite myself because it works so well with grids.

Excuse my ignorance, but is there a way to connect the houses to the power grid in this pic here (your first zones). As it is the houses are unpowered and if I drag a powerline down a house is removed. Any one can tell me what I am doing wrong?
