This is Cities in Motion. NOT Cities XL

With Gamescom now over the Cities Skylines development team are now kicking into action. One of issues I’ve seen raised is over possible performance issues because some fans are getting confused over Colossal Order’s development background.

As many of you know, Cities XL (developed by Monte Cristo) suffers from performance issues but as Colossal Order developer co_motep points out, the Cities Skylines team has nothing to do with Cities XL, they worked on Cities in Motion and Cities in Motion 2.

When quizzed about multithreading co_motep responded with:

No worries, the game will support multithreading :)

(And we aren’t related to Cities XL btw. The previous games from CO were Cities in Motion 1 and Cities in Motion 2)

Some confusion hopefully cleared up there in case anyone was concerned that the scale of the cities may bring the game to grinding halt.
